About the WARRIOR Project

Fighting for Health, Dignity, and Justice

The Women’s Advocacy for Reproductive Rights, Informed Options, and Resources (WARRIOR) Campaign is an initiative focused on addressing critical gaps in women’s health, advocating for the inclusion of female fertility treatments and care under national health insurance schemes and providing free, accessible support to female rape victims, including medical, psychological, and legal assistance.

WARRIOR also seeks to combat period poverty by ensuring affordable or free access to sanitary pads for women and girls, especially in underserved communities. Additionally, the project promotes women’s access to affordable contraceptives, ensuring reproductive autonomy.

Objectives of the Campaign:

  • Develop educational initiatives to inform communities about reproductive health rights, available resources, and the importance of addressing women’s health issues.
  • Increase availability and affordability of contraceptives to empower women with reproductive choices and enhance their autonomy over family planning.
  • Establish and expand free support systems for female rape victims, offering medical, psychological, and legal assistance to aid their recovery and empowerment.
  • Push for policy reforms that prioritize women’s reproductive health rights, including the right to affordable healthcare and gender-sensitive medical practices.

Our Project Highlights

Key Actions in the Fight for Women’s Health Rights

This initiative is centered on hosting community forums, workshops, and events to encourage open discussions about women’s health issues. These initiatives aim to raise awareness of reproductive health rights and resources available to women, increase access to affordable contraceptives, and advocate for policy reforms to include female fertility treatments in national health insurance schemes.

This network focuses on building and enhancing comprehensive support systems for female rape victims. It provides immediate access to free medical care, counseling, and legal aid, ensuring that survivors receive the requisite assistance to recover. Additionally, training programs are run for healthcare professionals and legal advocates to promote sensitivity and understanding in their interactions with survivors.

This initiative advocates for policies that ensure affordable or free access to sanitary products for women and girls, especially in low – income communities. In collaboration with other civil society organizations and various stakeholders, CLIP aims to distribute menstrual hygiene products, raise awareness about menstrual health, and educate communities on the importance of addressing period poverty as a vital public health issue.
